My husband happened to be in Dallas, Texas when his car started having problems. He thought there was a problem with the brakes and since he was just visiting he didn't know where to take the car for repairs. He ultimately found Dallas auto repair when searching on line. The site was very helpful because they provided a comprehensive directory of auto repair places in the Dallas area. Most of the listings also provided the specialties of the companies and the makes of cars they specialized in. They also provided ratings based on consumer feedback so he was confident he would find the right place to fix his car. He said there were too many choices but he was able to narrow his search for the make of his car. When he found out he needed a brake job he was able to research the site to get tons of information about brakes and recommendations on the questions to ask and suggestions to prevent squeaking. The site also had information on all sorts of other auto related information such as the engine, electrical and maintenance. There's even a Q&A section along with estimates of what repairs should cost.
While my husband was at the shop he saw a Chevrolet Silverado for sale. He's always wanted one ever since he traded in his old one. He still had his laptop on so decided to see if he could find out more information on this site. He was able to get scores on the various components of the truck such as the body and drive train. There were even plenty of reviews written by consumers all over the country. There was even a question and answer area specific to that truck as well as any recalls. I don't think my husband has ever found a site to help with all auto related topics until now.
